How does Botox work?
The treatment works by weakening the muscles in your face that cause the wrinkles to appear. In the case of excessive sweating, it works by stopping your sweat gland from working.
Botox is an entirely safe treatment and has been used by millions all over the world.
Botox injections use a purified protein called botulinum toxin type A to reduce the activity of the muscles that cause wrinkles to appear over time. They reduce the muscle contractions temporarily by blocking the transition of nerve impulses to the injected muscles, meaning that lines won’t appear and your skin will look and feel youthfully smooth.
As we use very fine needles, the Botox procedure is virtually pain-free and after a simple 10 minute session you will be able to get on with your daily life without down-time.
What can I expect the results of Botox to look like?
Botox will be targeted at areas specifically highlighted by you, so it will only work on the muscles that cause wrinkles, leaving other facial muscles untouched. This means the results will be very natural and smooth, with no hints at all that you’ve even had Botox!
